The major regeneration of Rathbone Market, in the London Borough of Newham, kicked off with the first phase of the scheme awarded to Sisk followed by consecutive phases.
Phase One – This urban regeneration project located in Canning Town provided a total of 271 mixed tenure homes across four residential buildings, one 21 storey, one 12 storey, one 8 storey and one 6 storey, together with ground floor retail units, single level basement car park and a landscaped garden.
Phase Two – The works further aid the regeneration of Canning Town with the provision of 165 new homes; a new market square with stalls and purpose built storage space for traders; new shops and cafes around the southern and eastern edges of the market square ; improved access to the A13 underpass ; new landscaped open spaces and a new library and community hub. As part of phase two Thomas North Terrace has been demolished. The remaining tenants were relocated to new homes within phase one of Rathbone Market.

AccentHansen have been involved in supplying steel and glass doorsets throughout the lifetime of the development. The GlazeShield FL doors were supplied in a variety of configurations, single and double doorsets with over and side panels were specified and supplied. A variety of fire-rated and security-rated steel doorsets were also supplied for bin stores, cycle stores, plant and switch rooms, risers and for general personnel use.
