Work on the Waterloo and South West upgrade started in April 2016 when we began re-developing the former Waterloo International Terminal for domestic services. The project is expected to be complete by December 2018 and will provide the biggest package of improvements to London Waterloo since the 1930s.
This project is part of our London Railway Upgrade Plan, creating new connections and making space for 45,000 extra passengers every morning and every evening – equivalent to a 30% boost in peak time capacity at Waterloo.
Skanska, Aecom, Colas Rail and Mott MacDonald alliance.
London Waterloo is the busiest station in the UK, with more than half a million passengers accessing the site every day and trains departing or arriving almost every minute during peak times.
Having successfully completed Phase 1, AccentHansen have been contracted to supply and install steel fire doorsets and stainless steel fire doorsets as part of the major improvements being undertaken at the station.
